5 reasons to avoid our summer session

We hear a lot about “de-influencing” at the moment. The internet is combining its powers to dissuade you from certain brands and experiences. A faithful helping hand, one might say. That’s why we think it’s time to distance you from The Other Art Fair. Wild concept, we know that.

If your ideal summer day is to stay indoors, avoid contact with any culture and not create key memories with friends and people you meet along the way, then you should definitely avoid our summer session in King’s Cross. it’s not for you Unfortunately, it’s reserved for adventure seekers and art lovers only.

Here are five reasons why it will be absolutely awful.

1. The flower installation by LADYGARDEN

If you’re not a fan of colorful floral arrangements and are never in search of the perfect summer selfie spot, then you’re going to hate our stunning entryway installation by LADY GARDENwho push the boundaries of art and nature with their experimental approach to floristry.

2. taken for days

We’re sure you want to display your artwork as often as possible, but it would be a terrible idea to wear it, wouldn’t it? At this art fair you can become a canvas by getting inked by our resident tattoo artist sticks, not stones. Charlotte’s delicate hand-engraved tattoos will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re already shaking your head in shame, how about something a little less enduring in the form of a limited edition t-shirt or tote bag from The Other Store in collaboration with Magic locks.

3. Really good music and drinks (how dare we!)

Unfortunately, the place will be packed with incredibly thirst-quenching cocktails, so it’s going to be a blast. Forgiveness! Our versatile DJs Lamby loves, Women and Gray Mother set the mood while you enjoy a summery drink from one of our independent British brands The Tequila Blitz, Black Chalk Wine, candid wine And AND UNION Beers. If you think it couldn’t get any worse, you can make even more of it and come to one of Black Chalk Wine’s tastings on our opening night.

4. You could make a good investment there

The last reason you would come to an art fair is to actually buy the art. So if you’ve decided to get this from an artist you have a relationship with, by partnering with Own Art we’ve made sure your old bank balance is significantly spared to give you the opportunity to pay the cost interest-free distribute. By buying through the fair you are doing a good deed and directly supporting independent artists (no galleries invited!) and nobody wants that on their conscience anymore, right?
